Raquel García Hofmann is a visual artist specialising in oil painting whose work explores unfinished architecture and changing cityscapes as metaphors for the transient. Built in layered oils on board or canvas, her language blends intuition and gesture with a rigorous study of light, matter and composition. Memory and emotion fuse in atmospheric scenes that invite quiet contemplation. Trained in Fine Arts at the University of La Laguna, she has been recognised in several quick-painting competitions and is emerging as a distinctive voice in contemporary painting from the Canary Islands.
